Introduction

Our aim is to reinterpret the landscape of the Diquís Valley, celebrating the cultural and archaeological heritage of the region. Through a sequence of interventions, a visitor is able to explore the rich diversity of the valley, from upland forests to the floodplain of the powerful Rio Terraba. As the stone spheres of Costa Rica are returned, they will be reintegrated into this setting. Local residents, visitors, and archaeologists interact with one another and with their surroundings in spaces designed for contemplation, recreation, and learning.
