A) The Landmarks Foundation
The Landmarks Foundation, a tax-exempt organization, has volunteered
its services to assist in developing financial support for the project
and the restoration of the stone spheres. In addition, the Foundation
will be involved in the marketing and publicity of the project.
B) The University
of Pennsylvania
Students from the University of Pennsylvania are participating in the
Master Planning of the Parque de Esferas to include analysis and schematic
plans. The programming of the Parque includes archaeological research,
recreation, and exhibition of the stone spheres. The scope of the project
encompasses the overall organization of the cultural circuit, such as
land use, environmental impact, transportation infrastructure, connections
to regional destinations, activities, as well as site design and development.
The students are also involved in the comprehensive planning of the
project relative to economic development, marketing and promotion, as
well as repatriation of the missing stone spheres.
