Simple and advanced queries to Internet search engines will return hundreds of sites on cemeteries. Tighter searches such as "tomb restoration" or "historic cemetery" or the specific name of the cemetery will be more useful.

History of the Archdiocese of New Orleans

The Landmarks Foundation was founded to conserve sacred sites and landscape around the world. Sam Green, founder of Landmarks Foundation, has been an active participant in the Dead Space project, while seeking to secure funding to preserve LaRiena Cemetery in Cienfuegos, Cuba. The city of Cienfuegos was originally settled by families who came from New Orleans. The historical connection has given each city unusual and related burial grounds. Both cities are known for the excellence of their carved statues and elaborate presentation of their mausoleums.
