The
Philadelphia Brownfields Inventory
Summary
This project resulted in the development of a GIS-based application for identifying
and inventorying brownfields in Philadelphia. The initial pilot was in eastern
North Philadelphia and phase two of the project surveyed sites along the Delaware
River. The goal of the project is to produce an inventory of brownfields,
and customized software tools for aggregating vacant land to assess their
redevelopment potential.
