I originally took this class because I am very interested in sacred landscapes, especially with regard to pre-Columbian peoples in the New World. As for my part of the project, I have contributed to the development of several scientific hypotheses concerning the Sajama lines, and have helped to begin testing them through the use of GIS technology. Additionally, I helped to document the history of the area and translated some Spanish along the way! It was interesting for me to observe the methods that people from different departments use to do their research; I learned a great deal about digital media, professionalism, and
teamwork.
